A "certified design" is one that has had a certification package purchased for the character. This includes the guarantee that the creator of the species, Ino, has personally reviewed the character design and verifies it meets all special guidelines required for certification. The owner is sent a certificate of authenticity as well as collectible swag, a unique character ID number, and a page on the official website. Proceeds go towards the production and shipment of the certificate package as well as additional funding for the upkeep of the Dutch Angel Dragon websites and official events at conventions.
